We Make Our Plans....

... and God Laughs.  Proverbs 16

I have De Quervain’s Tendinosis.  And, let me tell you, it hurts like the dickens!

I am thankful that nothing is broken, no surgery is required, and it is curable.

But not getting much accomplished in the studio and certainly no Ukulele playing is happening.

I guess it's a good time to dust!!

(After a week in the splint, thankfully it feels like it's getting better...)

National Sewing Day

In the mid-1960's (I was in my early teens) my "Grandma Pat" helped me make a "Granny Dress."
They were all the rage back then.

You'd typically head down to "T G & Y"  or
"Woolworth" for fabric, thread, pattern, etc.
Fabric was about 65 cents a yard.

And, they measured the yardage with one one these...

Measure...

Snip...

Rip...

Such a clear memory for such a long time ago!

Sew, today, National Sewing Day, stop and say a little thank you for the person who taught you to sew.

My maternal grandmother, Pauline (Pat)
and my grandpa Al.
